Like other primary schools, ours is managed by a Board of Management. A board is made up of 8 people representing the Patron, parents, the staff and the wider community. Two members are appointed by the Patron. The two parents' representatives, the mother of a current pupil and the father of a current pupil are nominated and elected by the votes of parents who have children attending the school when the elections are held. The teaching staff elects one of their members as representative and the principal is automatically a member of the board. The remaining two members are co-opted by the other six and are representatives from the wider community.
The outgoing boards served the schools very well and took the schools smoothly through a number of milestones, including the amalgamation. They hand over a single school, well staffed, well equipped and in good condition and we are obliged to each of the members.
