The Assumption Junior School is located just off the Long Mile Road, Dublin 12. The original school was built in 1958 by the Sisters of Charity. Recently renovations and upgrades have been made to improve and enhance the facilities of our newly-amalgamated school.
School GardenWe have large school grounds, which include an enclosed school playground, a spacious green area and a beautiful enclosed garden of which we are so proud. Here we carry out classroom projects and investigations in nature studies with the help of Annie - our school gardener.

School Playground!
We are really lucky at the Assumption Junior School to have a brand new fully enclosed school playground. It is a fantastic resource to have available to all of our children in our school.

Promethean Flat Panels and
Interactive White Boards Each classroom and resource room is fitted with a Flat Panel or an interactive whiteboard which facilitates both the teaching and the learning of our children. These whiteboards are fantastic tools and are used by both children and teachers. We also have many iPads throughout the school. Used both by teachers and pupils. |

Movement Room
We have a purpose built Movement Room in which our pupils can work on their gross motor skills. This project was funded by our Board of Management and was seen as a priority for the wellbeing of our pupils |

After-School Service
The school offers an after-school service between the hours of 1.30 p.m. and 2.30 p.m where pupils from Junior Infants and Senior Infants may participate in supervised activities.
Some of these activities include:
Arts and Crafts, drawing competitions, board games and film day.
Concert Hall/P.E. Hall
The large hall is a fantastic facility to have in our school. The school community uses it for P.E. lessons, school assemblies, art exhibitions, school concerts, displays of various types, coffee mornings and other such fund-raisers. It is an invaluable resource in the day-to-day running of the school.
