Scientists from Trinity College came to visit
our Senior Infant Classes

Four scientists from Trinity College, Dublin visited our school and carried out lots of experiments. They also took time to answer many scientific questions that we had.
To see a video of an experiment being carried out by these scientists please visit our science blog.
Materials
The scientists taught us that many of the materials around us were once discovered by a scientist carrying out an experiment.
The scientist in these pictures, mixed two different liquids together. A reaction occurred and the liquids turned into nylon. Many of our clothes are made from nylon.
|
Solids and Gases
Sometimes solids can change straight into a gas. This scientist showed us how very cold ice cubes change into a gas without changing into a liquid.
