Whole School Evaluation (WSE)
The following report reflects the hard work and collaboration that the staff of Assumption Junior School engage in on a daily basis. I was very much struck by the emphasis the inspectors placed on the atmosphere in the school and the warm, welcoming nature of everyone who works there. Of course, I was absolutely delighted to hear them acknowledge the fantastic work in teaching and learning that is going on in the school but coming from my previous DEIS and HSCL background I believe that good learning cannot take place if children’s holistic well-being isn’t being taken care of. I believe that the inspectors’ emphasis on the care that we show our pupils was a very strong acknowledgement of just how hard we all work to make the school experience a positive one for all of our children.
